Book Design (2008)
 April found me at the old Sylvia Hotel in Vancouver for a few days to judge this year's Alcuin Awards for Excellence in Book Design. On other fronts, Bringhurst has been kind enough to include my work in his forthcoming The Surface of Meaning: Books and Book Design in Canada, to be released this fall.
Summer's here and classes are over for a few months, but I'll be back at Okanagan College in September to launch our new Diploma in Writing & Publishing, with 6 new courses on topics from copyediting & manuscript prep., to typography & publication design. For the summer months, however, I'll be busy moving the new presses into the shop (more info) and then off to TypeCon in July.
