That's it. We're done. Time to pack things up and call it a day. But wait, there's one more for the road...

We're pleased to announce the release of our latest and last title, Jay Millar's collection Woods | Pages, more info on which can be found below; but first, a bit of context on what's going on around here.
For close to two years plans have been in progress to shift production from digital to letterpress printing, and that process is now underway. With the completion and release of Jay's book, the workings of Greenboathouse Books are now in the process of being dismantled, just in time for the studio to be reorganized to make room for a Vandercook 15-21 printing press.
In the coming months more news will be posted here, and at some point later in the summer this website will disappear, and with it all things Greenboathouse Books.
Prior to that shift a complete bibliography will be posted in PDF as a reminder of what we've been up to for the past 10 years, but in the meantime now is the best and last chance to get your hands on some of these award winning books.
We're very pleased to say that of our backlist of previously unpublished authors (in book form), 6 of 11 have gone on to full collections with some of Canada's best publishers. To name a few: since her chapbook Getaway Girl, Laisha Rosnau has knocked a novel (The Sudden Weight of Snow, M&S) and a collection of poetry out of the park (Notes on Leaving, Nightwood); Andy Weaver followed up not knowing spanish with were the bees (NeWest); Matt Rader's hammered out two since The Land Beyond (Miraculous Hours & Living Things, Nightwood); Jessica Westhead's Those Girls was followed by Pulpy & Midge (Coach House Books); Sean Dixon has put out AWOL and The Girls Who Saw Everyging (Coach House Books) after Aerwacol; and Pedlar Press will be releasing Aaron Peck's The Bewilderments of Bernard Willis this fall. And then, of course, there's Shane Rhodes, Sina Queyras, and Souvankham Thammavongsa, each of which has produced at least one new trade title since their Greenboathouse titles — and that's just our recent authors!
Still, what I set out to do in 1999 has, I think, been accomplished, and it's time to take on a new challenge. Letterpress is a different ball of wax altogether, and it's time to see what I can do with it. Therefore, the next few months will find us slowly drifting into the background to get ready to kick things into gear in 2009.
So, get'm while they're hot. In addition to Jay Millar's new chapbook, we have copies of a few other titles that have been dug out of the archive and are available now for the last time. Have a look at the orders page, and grab'm while the grabbin's good...
